Later, González was in a few movies and had some important roles. She played Darling in the action movie Baby Driver, which came out in 2017. She played Nyssiana in the cyberpunk action movie Alita: Battle Angel in 2019.
It was based on the 1990s series Battle Angel Alita by Japanese manga artist Yukito Kishiro and the 1993 video adaptation Battle Angel. She was picked to play Madame in Universal’s Fast and Furious spinoff Hobbs and Shaw, along with Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham.

Eiza González Movies and TV Shows

Eiza González is gradually creating an impressive list of work experiences. The actress from Mexico started in soap operas before successfully moving to Hollywood with a big part in Edgar Wright’s widely praised 2017 action movie hit Baby Driver.
Since then, González has become a major figure in action movies, working with many well-known directors and giving memorable performances as both a main character and a supporting character.
Right now, González is involved in two big projects in movies and TV, playing important roles in the casts of the popular Netflix show 3 Body Problem and Guy Ritchie’s action comedy movie The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.
Because of this, González adds two highly regarded projects to an already strong list of work experiences that includes several admired movies. From suspenseful thrillers to action-focused films, these are Eiza González’s best movies so far, proving she is one of Hollywood’s most promising young talents.
10. ‘Alita: Battle Angel’ (2019)

The admired director Robert Rodriguez used his low-budget movie style with the 2019 science fiction action film Alita: Battle Angel. Based on the manga Gunnm, the story follows the main character, a cyborg who does not remember her past.
After waking up in a new body, Alita tries to find a purpose while navigating the dangerous Iron City. Rosa Salazar leads a large cast, including Oscar winners Christoph Waltz, Jennifer Connelly, and Mahershala Ali.
González again plays a supporting part as Nyssiana, a wanted cyborg killer who works for the criminal cyborg boss Grewishka. Her appearance is too short, and the poor visual effects take away from an otherwise good performance, as González plays a cyborg femme fatale.
Like other movies by Rodriguez, Alita is bold but inconsistent, trying to do too much and struggling with its own ambitious ideas. Still, Rodriguez’s style and a somewhat interesting story make Alita worth watching.
9. ‘Paradise Hills’ (2021)

The science fiction and fantasy movie Paradise Hills is one of the most overlooked movies of the 2020s. Emma Roberts plays Uma, a young woman who is sent to a place where women go to change their behavior, run by The Dutchess (played very well by Milla Jovovich).
There, she meets other women who seem to have upset their families, including González’s character, Amarna, who is a famous singer sent to the center because her management company was not happy with her.
González has a big part in the beginning of the movie, making things interesting with a strange message that suggests that things are not what they seem; once again, the actress has to give important information, and the movie just wouldn’t be the same without her.
Paradise Hills tells a classic story about women, anger, and freedom, with enough style to make it special. The actors, including Awkwafina and Danielle Macdonald, are great and are the best thing about the movie. The story is familiar, even when it tries to be different, but Paradise Hills is still interesting enough to make the twist worth it.
8. ‘Cut Throat City’ (2020)

RZA’s 2020 robbery movie Cut Throat City features a large cast including Shameik Moore, Wesley Snipes, Ethan Hawke, and González.
Set in New Orleans after the destruction of Hurricane Katrina, the story focuses on four desperate friends who plan to carry out a big robbery and change their lives. González plays a significant supporting part as Detective Lucinda Valencia, who is in charge of looking into the robbery.
Fortunately, Cut Throat City has an ambitious story that never settles for doing just enough. However, the movie can sometimes seem pointless and stuck because of its unnecessarily complicated story. González is a convincing presence as the detective following every clue, doing everything possible to uncover the truth.
But, she remains likeable because of her sympathy for the main characters, making her the movie’s unsung hero. Even though it is not one of the best robbery movies of the 21st century, Cut Throat City is still fun and exciting because of RZA’s confident direction and the good work of its cast.
7. ‘I Care a Lot’ (2021)

Rosamund Pike gives a very sneaky performance in J Blakeson’s very dark and funny movie I Care a Lot. The actress who was up for an Oscar plays Marla Grayson, a scammer and legal caretaker who earns money by taking the possessions of old people who are easily hurt.
Things get bad when her newest target is the mother of a well-known criminal. González also plays a main role in the movie as Fran, who is Grayson’s partner. I Care a Lot is one of the most consistently depressing movies in recent times.
It is a funny movie, but it focuses so much on how awful the characters are that it might be too much for some people watching. But Pike, González, and Peter Dinklage, who is scary, keep the movie interesting, creating a mean and disturbing comedy that makes fun of the worst parts of being human.
Though evil but also interesting, I Care a Lot is a thrilling movie and the best example of how González is great at playing characters who are not good people but have hidden qualities.
6. ‘Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw’ (2019)

This is a side story from the well-known Fast & Furious movies, and it’s called Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw because it focuses on Luke Hobbs (played by Dwayne Johnson) and Deckard Shaw (played by Jason Statham).
These two who don’t seem like they’d get along team up with Shaw’s sister, Hattie (played by Vanessa Kirby), to take down Brixton Lore (played by Idris Elba), a bad guy who has been enhanced with technology.
González also plays a very important supporting part as Madame M, who used to be Deckard’s lover and is now a crucial helper in their fight against Lore. Hobbs & Shaw has the craziest story in the Fast series it’s not like the original movies that were about street racing, and it goes all the way into science fiction.
But this change is good because the writing is lively and the actors are fun to watch. González really stands out in her scenes in the movie, and you can tell she likes playing the attractive and clever thief.
If anything, Hobbs & Shaw would have been better if they had used her character more; she and Statham work really well together, and her funny conversations with Kirby and Johnson are the best part of an already funny movie.
5. ‘Godzilla vs. Kong’ (2021)

Godzilla vs. Kong might be the movie in the MonsterVerse that you can watch over and over again the most. The story is about the two main monsters fighting in a big battle that destroys many places in the world, ending in a big fight against Mechagodzilla in Hong Kong, which is lit up with neon lights.
Even though the movie’s biggest stars are the two main monsters, the people in the movie are interesting enough to talk about. But no movie that González has been in is more disappointing than Godzilla vs. Kong. According to González, the movie changed a lot during reshoots, which made her part smaller and cut out many of her scenes.
Still, what’s there is fun, with González playing a powerful girl who could have stolen every scene as a bad guy. No one will ever know what could have happened, but what we see is enough to prove that González would be great as a villain if she had the chance.
4. ‘She’s Missing’ (2019)

The dramatic and suspenseful movie She’s Missing from 2019 is about Heidi, whose closest friend is Jane, a rodeo star and military spouse who dreams of being famous. When Jane disappears, Heidi starts a wild search through the desert, meeting many untrustworthy people and learning about the risks of living on the road.
González, as Jane, is interesting and changes a lot in the movie. She acts in a way that is unclear, tempting, sensitive, a bit forceful, and totally in charge. She’s Missing uses many common ideas from missing person stories, González and her co-star Lucy Fry make the movie great.
The two of them are fun to watch, keeping the story going even when it gets boring. She’s Missing is very simple, so it may not offer much beyond what you see, but what you do see is enough to make it exciting and interesting.
3. ‘The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare’ (2024)

González has often been the only woman working with mostly men, and her latest movie proves this is true. In Guy Ritchie’s funny spy movie The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, the actress plays Marjorie Stewart, alongside actors like Henry Cavill, Alan Ritchson, and Henry Golding.
The movie is based loosely on Operation Postmaster, about a group of talented people who attack German troops in enemy areas during World War II. The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is like Guy Ritchie’s Inglourious Basterds.
The movie is funny, brutal, darkly comic, and very fun to watch, making it one of the best recent movies from the director, mainly due to the great actors he chose. González stands out the most she has the most interesting and emotional story in the film and succeeds in her best performance yet.
It also shows how talented she is that, even though she kills fewer people than her co-stars, González is better at it. The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is one of Ritchie’s most purely fun films, an exciting story made even better by a group of fun crazy people tearing apart Nazis.
2. ‘Ambulance’ (2022)

Michael Bay really shows his style in the 2022 action movie Ambulance. Jake Gyllenhaal, who has been nominated for an Academy Award, joins Yahya Abdul-Mateen II in the story of the Sharp brothers.
An ambulance, and accidentally kidnap a young paramedic named Cam Thompson. González easily keeps up with Gyllenhaal and Abdul-Mateen II, which is hard because the Oscar nominee is doing too much in his role.
Ambulance is Bay’s most caring story, and the three actors in the middle of it rise to the occasion, creating a special connection that keeps the story interesting despite all the noise around them. Following Bay’s famous style, Ambulance is a fast-paced and nerve-wracking thriller that is as wild as it is pleasing.
1. ‘Baby Driver’ (2017)

The action-packed thriller Baby Driver by Edgar Wright, which was praised by critics and nominated for an Oscar, is about Miles, also known as Baby, a young driver who helps the master thief Doc escape.
His life changes when he meets Debora, a lovely waitress, and Baby starts to question his life of crime. González plays Darling, a scene-stealing supporting role as the only woman in Doc’s group and the wife of Buddy, who is loving but also violent.
Baby Driver was the movie that made González famous, and she took full advantage of it. The actress acts very well, perfectly showing Darling’s empty and attractive but also distant and cruel personality.
Together with Jon Hamm, who is also great, González creates a modern version of Bonnie, with Hamm as her Clyde. Baby Driver is an almost perfect mix of dark humor, exciting action, and surprisingly good romance, creating a unique movie that was rightly praised by critics and fans.
