Julia Roberts New Jewelry Chopard Collection

Los Angeles actress Julia Roberts, a global ambassador for luxury jewelry brand Chopard, co-designed a new high jewelry collection.

The Chopard x Julia capsule collection pays homage to the “Insofu Emerald” an emerald that was discovered more than ten years ago and weighed 6,225 carats at the time. It came from the Gemfields-run Kagem mine in Lufwanyama, Zambia.

Roberts, who is Chopard’s global ambassador, has a profound understanding of the maison because she frequently dons designs created by Scheufele and her haute joaillerie workshops. The jewelry brand has previously collaborated on projects with Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Marion Cotillard, and Julianne Moore—among others.

When Caroline told me about her extraordinary Insofu emerald, I was immediately drawn to her. When she later suggested that we work on a custom design, it was such an exciting challenge.

Together, we’ve had a great time making this set a reality, producing jewelry that is gorgeous, eco-friendly, and combines the classic appeal of emerald with gorgeous hues and a stone that I treasure, turquoise,” Roberts said of the collaboration.

Cannes Film Festival and uses the occasion to launch its high-end jewelry and red carpet collections, the Swiss luxury watch and jewelry manufacturer has strong ties to the film industry.

Scheufele went even farther in 2023, bringing a line of couture dresses to the festival’s runway alongside a star-studded cast of her longtime friends, including Eva Herzigova, Naomi Campbell, and Helena Christensen.

A ring, necklace, and earrings made from a variety of Insofu cut emeralds are part of the Chopard x Julia three-piece set, which combines heirloom aesthetics with avant-garde execution.

The emeralds’ crystalline green, matte sky-blue turquoise (a gemstone that the brand claimed Roberts has worn throughout her life), and cherry-red rubellites are just a few of the strikingly contrasting colors that are blended in this piece.

The emerald heart of the cocktail ring fans out over neighboring fingers to form a flat, colorful flower with gem petals that resemble droplets. Pear-shaped emerald, rubellite, and turquoise droplets dangle from the earrings in a chandelier pattern, mirroring the tassels of the same shape that are strewn throughout the necklace, which is made up of a row of vibrant gems with the same cut.
